Jerame Donley and Team Bounce Back After DNF

The Donley Motorsports #5 Pontiac Grand Prix suffered mechanical problems in their last attempt at South Boston Speedway; going into this past weekend the entire team was looking to turn it around and bounce back with a solid finish at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Virginia.

Mother nature once again forced Motor Mile Speedway officials to postpone Saturday nights racing activities due to heavy rains, but the action heated up early on Sunday afternoon. Jerame again had a great qualifying run, putting the #5 LJM Machine Co., Inc. Grand Prix on the outside of row number one.

Jerame held onto his second place starting position until the halfway mark when he got caught up with a lapped car on a restart, shuffling him back to the fourth position. With two laps remaining in the race Jerame slipped back to the fifth position and brought home the Donley Motorsports machine for their second top-five at Motor Mile Speedway. "The car ran good, but just got loose during the course of the race. We're still trying to fine-tune the setup for the car with the new asphalt on the track,” commented Jerame after the event.

A disqualification of the second place finisher bumped the #5 Donley Motorsports machine up to the fourth place finishing position in the final run down. Jerame and the entire Donley Motorsports team will be back in action on Saturday, April 29, for the UARA-STARS Late Model Touring Series Pepsi 150 event at Motor Mile Speedway.
