Momentum Back On Donley’s Side

After several difficult weeks at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Virginia, Jerame Donley and his family’s Donley Motorsports team made the trip to Caraway Speedway this past Saturday night for a 100-lap feature event.

Jerame’s last start at Caraway Speedway came in March when he picked up his first win of the 2006 race season. Jerame and the entire team were very confident after practice that they had a strong car and he backed it up by posting the 5th fastest qualifying time in the #5 LJM Machine Co., Inc. Grand Prix. However, due to track rules, Jerame had to start the race in the six-place position. (Your first time back to the track after a win, if you qualify in the top-6, you automatically have to start 6th)

Right from the start Jerame jumped to the front, moving into the 4th position. Jerame rode in 4th for several laps until he was able to work by Robert Tyler and Brad Brinkley to take over the 2nd position. With ten laps remaining Jerame closed the gap on leader Nathan Buttke. Jerame tried several times to get by Buttke for the lead during the closing laps; however, the two cars were very equal and Jerame came home second. “The car ran great, we just needed a touch more to get by Nathan. Hopefully this will give us some momentum going to Motor Mile next week," commented Jerame after the race.

Jerame Donley and Donley Motorsports will be back at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Virginia this weekend for the Mark III Customs Twin 50’s. Keep your eye's on JerameDonley.com for the latest news and information.
