Twin-75’s; Double the Trouble

This is not the way Jerame Donley envisioned starting off his 2007 race season. First a blown engine in the first race of the season, then, last Saturday night, two races and two finishes that had Donley yearning for more as he left the 4/10ths Motor Mile Speedway.

Jerame qualified the Donley Motorsports #5 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the 6th spot for the first Twin-75 and 9th for the second Twin-75. As the green dropped in the first race Jerame got shuffled back to the 8th position, but he quickly started working on the 7th place machine. After getting cut off the during the first attempt, Jerame again tried to pass the 7th place car of Jason Mitchum but was cut off again, this time sending him spinning and putting Jerame to the rear of the field on the restart. Working his way from the back after the spin Jerame again ran into trouble as he tried to pass Lynn Phoenix for the 11th position. The two cars touched and then spun, sending both to the rear. Jerame again tried to work his way by Phoenix on the restart but was put hard into the outside wall (spotter didn't tell Phoenix that Jerame was there). The hit heavily damaged the Donley Motorsports machine, delegating Jerame to an 18th place finish in the first Twin-75.

With heavy damage heading into the second Twin-75, Donley Motorsports decided to start from the rear and simply park the car after one lap and was credited with a 20th place finish in the second event. With such high hopes at starting the ‘07 race season off on a good note, Jerame Donley instead is fighting an up hill battle as he tries to fight back after three straight DNF’s.

With a great team, a great racecar, and tremendous talent behind the wheel, Jerame is poised to bounce back from his team’s rough start to the season. Donley Motorsports will be back in action on May 12 for a 150-lap feature event. Donley Motorsports is currently looking for marketing partners for the 2007 season and beyond.
